Meg Geoghegan is the director of communications at Clarendon Group, and has experience rooted in storytelling, from her start as a community journalist to public relations work across politics, education, and social impact. She oversees projects with clients like data.org, The Champlin Foundation, Rhode Island Community Food Bank, Newport Historical Society, and the University of Massachusetts Foundation, and provides earned media and editorial support for a broad range of clients.  ​

Prior to joining the Clarendon team, Geoghegan was the Communications Director for the Rhode Island Department of Education, serving two Commissioners of Education. ​

​

She previously worked as the Director of Communications for former U.S. Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI). Geoghegan began her career as a reporter-turned-editor of the Cranston Herald and Johnston Sun Rise weekly newspapers in Rhode Island. She has a BA in Journalism from Northeastern University. ​

​

Geoghegan served for nine years on the Board of Directors for Onward We Learn, a college access nonprofit serving first-generation college students, and is currently on the capital campaign committee of her church, St. Paul's of Wickford. She lives in coastal Rhode Island with her husband and two daughters.
