Stacy Paterno, principal, KDG strategies, has spent close to twenty years providing high-level strategic communications, business strategy, public affairs, and government relations counsel to a broad range of national companies.

Prior to KDG strategies, Paterno served as assistant vice president for public affairs, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, where she worked with executive leadership, community and government relations, and marketing and brand communications, to raise the company’s public profile through public relations, policy leadership, social media and other activities aligned with corporate strategy. 

Paterno also served as senior public affairs director at Lifespan, an integrated academic health system affiliated with the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Bradley Hospital, and Newport Hospital. She came to Lifespan after a successful career in communications, government relations, business strategy, and public policy consulting. As a partner at Johnson & Associates, and senior partner at Clarendon Group, she led federal relations strategy, directed research, managed staff and projects, and oversaw financial operations.
